Welcome to my biography page! My name is Ms. D., and I look forward to working with you and your child in early literacy.

If you are looking for a reading tutor for your Pre K-3 student, in the Collin County, Allen, Plano, Richardson, McKinney, Fairview, Lucas or Wylie, Texas areas, you've found just the right place!

For me, each year of teaching brings great satisfaction as I see young students start to grow and experience success in reading and writing!

  Mrs. D. is a certified and experienced early literacy teacher with over 15 years of experience working with PreK–   3rd grade in early literacy, special eduction, and Reading Recovery in the state of Texas.

  Reading has been my specialty for over 15 years. My experience and education ranges in a variety of areas,   including but not limited to the following:

   Reading Recovery (1st grade one-on-one reading & writing tutoring).

   Reading Support and Accelerated Reading Instruction ( K-12 )

   Resource Reading, Writing and Math ( K-12th )

   Dyslexia services and multi-sensory instruction, all levels.

   TAKS support, reading comprehension strategies and test taking skills.

   English as a second language ( Second language learners - Adults & children )

   Special Education services ( Learning disabilities, down syndrom & autisum )

  If you have any questions or need support in Reading with your child, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  My goal is for every child to feel and be, successful, confident and independent.

  Whether you are looking for an early jump start in literacy for your child, or your child is seemingly behind their   classmates in their literacy development, I will develop an individual plan based on careful observations and   assessment, where your child will flourish! I do NOT use a scripted one size fits all program, as every child is   unique. 

  All reading tutor lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of each pre k - 3rd grade child.
